We had an ultra sound 3 weeks ago - our baby looks like a wee little field mouse. Isn't he/she cute? We have another ultrasound Dec. 5 and, if all looks well, one last one January 16. We are hoping that during the last ultrasound, the baby cooperates so that we can find out if we will have a son or daughter!! I'm feeling much better these days - haven't had any morning sickness in two weeks now and although I am still tired I feel "functional". Of course it helps being tracked out, I can nap when I need to!
It is so strange for us, we felt so prepared for our Little Monkey - we have almost everything a baby from 9 months up could possibly need. Now we are stumped, how much "stuff" does a newborn possibly need?! We were ready to face head-on any attachment disorders, rude comments, racial stereotypes and how to incorporate our child's Korean heritage into our family traditions! Gosh ... now we are trying to get into a whole new frame of mind - like how do you care for a teeny tiny baby?! We will have it all figured out, I know, but it is still so surreal!
I wasn't sure if I would continue with this blog but it is still our journey to becoming a family, it is just that there was an unexpected turn in the road and for that we couldn't be any more grateful!
Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends and family! And we can't wait to see our Canadian friends and family at Christmas!!!
